Bakgrunn og aktiviteter
Jon Atle Gulla har vært professor i informasjonssystemer ved NTNU i Trondheim siden 2002. Han var instituttleder ved Institutt for datateknikk og informasjonsvitenskap 2010-2012 og nestleder ved samme institutt 2009-2010 og 2012-2013. Han er en av lederne av laboratoriet for Web Intelligence and Semantics ved NTNU.
Gulla har en PhD (1993) og mastergrad (1988) innenfor informasjonssystemer ved NTH (nå NTNU). Han har også en mastergrad i lingvistikk fra AVH (nå NTNU) fra 1995 og en MSc i ledelse (Sloan fellow) fra London Business School fra 2003.
