At NTNU Energy and Process Engineering and SINTEF Energy Research
The Multiphase Laboratory at NTNU is a facility dedicated to
student research projects.
The laboratory consists of two parts:
One is a closed loop system (near horizontal channel, gas-liquid-liquid,
7 m long)
The other is an open loop system (17m long, 7 m high) operating
with air, water and oil
Currently two test sections are in operation: two straight sections
inclinable to +- 15 degrees with the horizontal, and one test
section having an S-shaped form to simulate flow in offshore risers.
