R&D co-operation with Shell International (Rijswijk, Houston)
Norwegian version

27 January 1999,  NTNU and Shell International Exploration and Production - Research and Technical Services (Shell-SIEP) agreed to enter a partnership for R&D co-operation (see Memorandum of Understanding). Shell-SIEP is located in Rijswijk (the Netherlands) and in Houston (USA). Guest lectures, seminars and student projects are among the means to further personal contacts and the development of shared research projects.

·        Academic staff  at NTNU who want to partner with Shell to develop breakthrough hydrocarbon exploration and production technologies, are invited to participate in Shell's innovation process GameChanger (see homepage http://www.gamechanger.nl/).

·        In support of the NTNU strategy on Energy and Environment, an international Natural Gas Technology Workshop sponsored by Shell-SIEP, will take place 28-29 November 2000 in Trondheim.

·        Students are invited to Shell Research and Technical Services in Rijswijk as trainees during the summer and with the possibility to stay on for diploma work. Shell covers the cost of travel, living and room rental. Announcement and award of student positions takes place in the autumn (see announcement for student positions - summer 2002).
