Internationalization Grants Norwegian version

Objectives
NTNU intends to stimulate student mobility. The Internationalization Grant is earmarked for employees at NTNU who will work to increase student mobility in both directions between NTNU and international universities.

Application criteria
• The planned initiative must meet the grant objectives. Priority will be given to initiatives which will clearly enhance balanced mobility between NTNU and international universities.
• The application must contain:
- A short description of purpose of travel including a description of the expected results regarding increased student mobility.
- A budget. The budget must indicate other sources of financial support (internal and/or external)
• It is not possible to apply for funds to attend conferences, seminars and courses

Applications which do not meet these criteria will not be assessed.

Financial criteria
• Travel where the total cost amounts to no more than NOK 5000 can be fully funded.
• Travel where the total cost amounts to more than NOK 5000 can be partly funded up to 50 %. The remainder is expected to be covered by the applicant/unit/department or through other sources.

Travel expenses are to be based on the cheapest feasible mode of travel and a refund of 70 % of the State travel allowance for subsistence and accommodation.

Application procedure
The application must be forwarded both electronically and on paper. The paper version must have the signature of the applicant and the Head of Department. The application should be approved by the Head of Department and he/she must confirm that the initiative is in line with the Department’s academic profile and the Department will consider possible part funding. The application should be sent to Office of International Relations.

Deadline
No deadline. The applications are processed consecutively. The assessment will be sent directly to the applicant. If a grant is awarded, a copy of the notification will be forwarded to the applicant’s Department.
