Metal forming Formlab seeks to build a national centre for research and education within metal forming. The project aims to establish a physical laboratory for education as well as for research.

The goal is to increase the competence within metal forming and to establish a network within the field by:

• Increased research activity directed towards downstream processes and product properties
• Establish a culture for development of novel processes
• Establish a national resource centre within the field of metal forming which is integrated with process and alloy development

Formlab is an NTNU-project financed by Hydro Aluminium AS og Raufoss Technology.
