The Embretsfoss Hydropower Plant is located in the river Drammenselva in southern Norway. In connection with refusbishment of the plant, SINTEF carried out a hydraulic model study. The current project used a CFD model to look at the flow pattern in the reservoir and the intake. Measurements in the physical model was used to test the CFD model.
