Life: I lived in
Nicaragua from 1995
to1997, wrote my thesis
about building democracy, and what role civil society may play in this
process. My point of departure is the fact that Norwegian Agency for Development
Cooperation - Norad - supports Nicaraguan
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), claiming that the NGOs' contribution
is essential for this democracy-building to succeed. I focus on the relationship
between Nicaraguan NGOs and the Nicaraguan state.
