Gender Equality
Genuine gender equality is seen as an important goal for society at the same time as it is an overall goal within education and research.
Gender equality features as an integral part of the Act on Education, within the general part of the curriculum, as well as within/ the different aspects of the education curricula. Training and education shall provide boys and girls, men and women with the same rights, obligations and opportunities for urther education, family life, working life and other activities within the community. The learning process shall prepare them for education and a choice of profession according to ability and interests, irrespective of traditional gender expectations.
