23 Acquisition of real estate
The real estate market in Norway
is open, and regulated by offer and demand. Local regulations may apply to the
use of real estate by foreign nationals. As a general rule, diplomatic missions
and career consular officers are advised to seek legal advice when planning to
acquire real estate in Norway.
The ‘yellow pages’
(“Gule sider”) of the telephone directory contain a list of estate agents
(“eiendomsmeglere”).
