Research falls into one of two main fields:

• Development of methodology related to solution of the Schrödinger equation for electron motion in molecules.
• Analysis of molecular phenomena such as chemical bonding and intermolecular interaction.

Teaching and, to some degree, research, is done in collaboration with department of chemistry research-group for theoretical chemistry.

As a basis, two out of "K-210 Teoretisk kjemi", "Fys-280 Numeriske metoder", and "Fys-200 Klassisk teoretisk fysikk" are recommended.
