Computer user registration, Physics Department, UiO

To use UiO desktop computers, server resources and services you need at least a username and a password, i.e. you need a UiO computer account. In addition, the account has to be upgraded by us to give you access to all desktop computers and resources/services at our department.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Guest researchers with a stay longer than 14 days will need a proper account. At least one week before the guest arrives, the host should fill in the form on behalf of the guest. If this isn't done then a brief-visit account might have to be created first, which is cumbersome, both for the guest and the department.

You will need to fill in the fields on this webpage and then submit the form by pressing the button at the bottom of the page. This is the only way that you can deliver the form to us.

After receiving the form we will need at least a day to process the information and create/upgrade your account. You will usually not receive any feedback, unless you explicitly request this in the comment-field and provide an email-address where we can reach you. How to obtain your username and password is explained at the bottom of the form. PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO RECEIVE THE PASSWORD VIA EMAIL. UiO REGULATIONS STRICTLY FORBID SENDING PASSWORDS VIA EMAIL.
