Personal Documentation
The archives contain records providing documentation of the rights
and welfare interests of the individual inhabitants. We receive
archival material from many public bodies. These records may be of
importance long after the documents were issued.
The following are examples of documentable matters known to be of high value to the individual user:
- Paternity records or documentation on biological origin
- Documents certifying sea service on Norwegian ships during World War II and in the post-war period
- Information replacing lost certificates and certifications
- Archival material on war children born during or just after World War II
- Information on previous hospitalizations at public hospitals
