Content
The Saami beginning level course 1 is course for you who want to learn Saami language. The course is adapted to beginners and the level of the course corresponds books Davvin 1 and 2.

Aim of the course
The aim is that with the help of the course you can have simple conversations in Saami, read simple texts and you will get glance of saami culture. Thorough verbal exercise, role plays and games with different themes the students are able to speak and use saami in everyday situtations. This way the teachers can tie naturally the right words and demonstrate the ordinary situations. At the same time grammar is included to the word and sentences that are used is the verbal rehearsals.

Organisation of the study
• The teaching of the course is held in two separate intensive periods, two weeks in June/July and two weeks in August.
• During the summer course there will be organized excursions.
• Variety of teaching and working methods are used
• IT is used as tool of teaching

Target group
The main target group are the people who will use Saami later on to communication in their workplaces or in the studies in the future but other applicants are more than welcome to apply to this study.
