Vebjørn Tandberg graduated from NTH (now NTNU) with rather poor grades in both mathematics and physics. This forced him to develop an extraordinary way of thinking logical. Throughout his studies, he developed high performance loudspeakers, and a few years later he established Tandberg Radio. In addition to his technical and commercial achievements, Tandberg was a pioneer in providing good conditions for his workforce, which in short time lead Tandberg Radio to be one of the most remarkable industrial successes in the history of Norway.
