The Norwegian Man And the Biosphere Programme
Man And the Biosphere (MAB) was established as a research programme under UNESCO focusing on developing a base for rational use and conservation of biosphere resources. The Norwegian National MAB Programme has been led by The Norwegian National MAB-committee; in the Research Council of Norway. The MAB-Committee has been in charge of international contacts and initiates national activities, biosphere reserves being the most important activity in 1995-98.
