International Network in Advanced Theological Education (INATE)
Go directly to the INDEX for the International Network in Advanced Theological Education (INATE) homepage.
Do you want a global theological education? Are you interested in how theology and theological education responds to different cultural, social and religious contexts? Do you wish to contribute to the development of a theology which is committed to the cause of poor and marginalised people? Then this network offers opportunities. It invites you to the rich, inspiring and (sometimes) frustrating experience of cross-cultural encounter. Soon you may be heading for a semester or a year of study in a completely different environment from the one you know; you may be preparing yourself for deepening your insights and widening your horizon through a study in India, South-Africa, Brazil, Hungary, China, Canada, Costa Rica or Norway. The International Network in Advanced Theological Education is the result of theological institutions on four continents coming together with the aim of responding to urgent challenges to theological education. Their common conviction is that these challenges may be met in a more fruitful manner by way of a global co-operation, based on mutuality and sharing. Student and staff exchange, together with common and co-ordinated efforts in reflection, research and publication are the main working tools of the Network. In these webpages you will find basic information about what this Network can offer you - and of how you can become a part of and contribute to the Network’s vision.
