Master of Philosophy in Contextual Theology3. FOREIGN STUDENT EXCHANGE
The Faculty has a bilateral network of international contacts within theology, and has exchange agreements within the ERASMUS/SOCRATES system with universities in Durham, Glasgow, Heidelberg, Kiel, Strasbourg, Tübingen, Vienna and Thessaloniki. Through these networks students can apply for admission to the Faculty's program of study. The Faculty is also part of an exchange programme (NORDPLUS) between all the theological faculties in the Nordic countries. The Faculty is also part of the International Network in Contextual Theology (INATE), with six member institutions in four continents.
Registration There are three categories of foreign guest students. These are;
Individual Tuition All students will receive individual tuition from teachers on their thesis. Master students, and students within the ERASMUS and INATE program are offered individual tuition in English.
Accomodation Students on the exchange programmes NORDPLUS, ERASMUS and INATE as well as students at the Master’s programme accepted into the quota system (see the above mentioned brochures from the Department of International Relations), are guaranteed housing in a single room in one of the student towns. They must, however, indicate their need for housing on the application form for admission. Other guest students are not guaranteed housing, but can apply for housing. The deadlines for reservation of accommodation to the Housing Office are June 30. for the Autumn-semester and December 1. for the Spring-semester. All students who qualify for university housing will receive a housing contract from The Housing Office about one month before they leave for Oslo, and they are requested to present the contract upon arrival at the student town.
Committee for International Contact The Faculty has a student committee for international contacts and student mobility. The members of the committee do their best to make the life of exchange students as pleasant and fruitful as possible. One of the professors serves as the international co-ordinator, and one of the academic counsellors carries the administrative responsibility for the international students (See contact addresses on the back page of this brochure)
