Here you will find information about the master thesis. The thesis is the final individual paper in your master.
Supervisor
Supervisors are appointed by the Master Thesis Committee (MOK). In order to have a supervisor appointed you need to return an application form In the application form you must present a short projectdescription, a theme or problem that you want to solve. You can also suggest a supervisor, but this is optional. MOK will then find the most suitable supervisor. Please note that MOK appoints supervisors on an overall assessment of the Institute’s resources, and can not guarantee you that the suggested supervisors is appointed.

Contract
After a supervisor is appointed, the supervisor and the student must sign a supervisor contract. By signing this contract the student and the supervisor agree to rights and obligations concerning preparation, regulations, guidelines, and planning (below you will find links to some of these things).
Supervision
Within three weeks after a supervisor is appointed, he/she must set up a meeting with the student in order to agree upon a time plan and a work plan. It is important that you prepare for this meeting, and that you inform your supervisor if you have views on how you would like to be supervised. It is also important that you get an understanding of how the supervisor conducts the supervision. In order to secure a well functioning collaboration, it is important that you agree upon these issues as early as possible.
Template
We recommend that you use the DUO template. All of you must register the thesis in DUO, so it might be convenient to use their template. Read more about DUO. Here you will also find the template.
