Kurs i bioteknologi, globalisering og risiko

En ukes intensiv kurs om utfordringer ved globalisering og bioteknologi vil bli holdt ved UMB fra 4. til 8. desember. Kurset er åpent for alle interesserte og vil foregå på engelsk.

A one week intensive course on Biotechnology, Globalisation and Risk will be held at UMB between 4th and 8th December, 2006. The main lecturer is Julian Kinderlerer, Professor in Biotechnology Law, University of Sheffield.

The course will cover a number of issues associated with the ethical and
legal challenges raised by modern biotechnology, including Globalisation,
Biodiversity, Patents and Intellectual Property Rights, and the
Precautionary Principle.

Participation is welcome from Ph.D. students and others interested in the
ethical, legal and social aspects of biotechnology, agriculture or other
modern technological developments. For participants travelling from
outside UMB and interested in accomodation, there are a few places
available in university campus flats at a price of 385 kr per night.
