Organization
CIGENE
To ensure that CIGENE fulfills its mandate as a national core facility and to develop a culture for multi-institutional "ownership", CIGENEs work is monitored by a board comprising representatives drawn from all universities in Norway and the Norwegian biotech industry. Daily operations are handled by a director assisted by a group of six key scientists within CIGENE. The research work is organized around core members with group leader positions, assisted by several associate members in Norway and abroad who all subscribe to the CIGENE vision and by different means wish to contribute to the long-term mission of the centre. CIGENE is an academic node for several Norwegian biotech companies.
