MASTER PROGRAMME

Master ProgrammeEverywhere around the world higher education systems and institutions are going through fundamental change processes. Those who are involved in these change processes are often insufficiently prepared for the complexity of the issues at stake. They bring along their practical experience and knowledge, but often lack a more conceptual understanding of the basic structural and cultural dynamics characterising higher education.

To provide a podium for addressing these challenges, Hedda has developed two unique, research based, English-language master programmes in higher education. The programmes focus on the changing functions, policies, and operations of higher education in a comparative perspective.

Because of the various areas of specialisation of the universities and centres involved, the programmes cover a broader range of disciplinary perspectives on higher education than any other Masters Course in higher education in the world.

Master of Philosophy in Higher Education
