WebComp is now officially hosted by the University of Tromsø with its own domain name. It is meant to be part of a computer science project, but is also an open source project with a GPL license. Contributions are welcome.
WebComp originally started in Agder University College (
Open systems group. Now the author is an associate professor at the university of Tromsø, WebComp could be a basis for research on component programming (student master degree projects are available), as well as an useful web-application construction tool. Some CMS components are also under development.
WebComp is currently actively used by Agder University College, Lillesand Rotary Clup and by myself of course. Thanks to Mike Menk and Mikael Snaprud for useful feedback.
