The most significant changes are: (1) A construct to override attributes locally for a given function chain. (2) A clarification of the sharing/inheritance/lazy evaluation semantics. There are still issues, however. Upgrade is highly recommended.
The following issues are to be adressed in the next release:
Further resolve lazy evaluation semantics: Currently, all reference arguments to GenericFuncs are resolved at activation time. Changes will thereafter not be automatically reflected. A simple approach is to resolve only references to non-function arguments but this is problematic since semantics will be different for different types of arguments, but also because of performance. A better strategy would be to re-activate functions when their arguments are changed. Resolve sharing- and inheritance semantics for lists. I.e. what happens when a list is inherited and what happens when a GenericFunc with list arguments is cloned? Inheritance semantics: Implement _multiple_ inheritance and some kind of selective inheritance of menu items (which are currently not inherited). | ||||||||||||||||||||||
