General information on the research area:
Information Systems Engineering comprises tools and methods for building information and information management systems, including associated approaches for analysis, design, construction and change of such systems. Relevant research is concerned with information management processes and their relationship to the external world of organization and business processes, in particular requirements engineering and software design. The research in information management for business processes is increasingly based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which are complex enterprise-wide application packages that integrates an organization’s business data and support its cross-departmental business processes.
