Staff from Volda University College and colleagues from Mangalore University, India.
One of our main challenges at Volda University College is to increase the number of foreign students in our courses. We want to promote and implement student- and teacher exchange within permanent international agreements.
NORDPLUS is the Nordic Council/Nordic Council of Ministers programme for the advancement of interrelationship between universities and institutions of higher education in the Nordic countries. Volda University College participates in several networks within the Nordplus programme.
LIFE LONG LEARNING PROGRAMME is the new European Community programme in the field of higher education. Volda University College participates in this programme.
QUOTA PROGRAMME. The Norwegian Quota Programme is a funding scheme offered by the Norwegian Government to students from developing countries and Eastern and Central Europe. (Countries eligible for the Norwegian Quota Programme. Admission to the programme is highly competitive, and only a limited number of Quota Scholarships are available.Candidates apply directly to Volda University College.)
BILATERAL AGREEMENTS. Outside Nordplus/ Erasmus exchange takes place through bilateral agreements, this means agreements of collaboration which are made directly between VUC and another institution of higher education. Students studying at universities where Volda University College has a bilateral agreement may apply. Bilateral agreements do not give a right to extra schoolarships for students. Candidates apply through their home university.
PARTNERS:
For the time being we have agreements or are about to sign agreements with the following institutions, and we are constantly looking for new partners. Equally important is it to ascertain the quality of the existing programmes, and to extend the agreements to include most of the faculties and departments at VUC. Do not hesitate to contact our international office for further information.
