Admission to regular courses is based on standard college and university matriculation requirements. In addition a test in the Norwegian language is required. International students are not admitted at regular courses as they are open only for Norwegian speaking persons with a permanent or renewable permit of residence in Norway.
Exchange students are admitted within exchange programmes (Erasmus, Nordplus, Leonardo) and bilateral agreements (Study Abroad) between Volda University College and an international partner institution. Exchange students are selected by their home university.

Volda University College only admits students within the Quota programme from international partner institutions in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. The Quota students are selected by their home institution.
Degree students
For the time being, Volda University College (VUC), does not offer any complete English degree programmes. For more information on English degree programmes, please contact the Centre for International University Cooperation, SIU. For an overview of available modules in English, please have a look here: Courses in English.
As you will see, courses taught in English are limited, but we are constantly aiming at developing a larger variety of courses. Please feel free to ask for special arrangements.
"Free movers"
Although VUC mainly accepts students from our partner institutions, we are open to requests from institutions where there are no such agreements. Please contact International office.
Students from partner institutions
VUC has a variety of exchange agreements with institutions all over the world. Students from these institutions are most welcome to apply for any of our courses.
