More than 900 students and 100 staff create a rich academic and social community in distinctive buildings in their unique setting by the fjord at Rotvoll, near Trondheim. We educate teachers for the Norwegian school system, and interpreters for deaf and deaf blind persons. Welcome to the Faculty of Teacher and Interpreter Education.
The Faculty of Teacher and Interpreter Education offers excellent opportunities for gaining insight into the Norwegian education system and Norwegian teacher education as well as for studying specific subjects, such as Norwegian sign language. The International Coordinator assists students to organise their programme of study at the Faculty and with arranging accommodation.
Students are expected to work both independently and in teams in all our courses. In general, teaching practice, organised in close co-operation with local primary and secondary schools, is an important part of courses at the programme for teacher education.
