Children and decision making

The purpose of the thesis is to study factors that determine if children participate in decision making in child protection case processing. Consultative participation is when children’s views are solicited. Collaborative participation is when children have some influence upon the decision.
The thesis use a quantitative research approach. Observational studies were conducted using cross sectional design. Data was collected by questionnaires to social workers and extracted from from case files. Analyses were done using statistical methods.
