Open for all PhD candidates in neuroscience who are working at a Norwegian institution, including research program medical students.

The aim of the summer school is to give you a deeper understanding of what we actually measure with state-of-the-art recording methods in neuroscience. Participants will get theoretical insights and practical experience with a broad range of methods, including patch-clamp techniques, in-vivo electrophysiological recordings, optical imaging, EEG and fMRI. Group work and student presentations will be key components for project assignments and paper discussions. Key lecturers are based at  Centre for Integrative Neuroplasticity at UiO, and special guest lecturer is Michael Häusser from the Neural Computation Lab, University College London.  Lunch will be served every day, and the program includes three dinners/social events.

Estimated study load: 2 ECTS.
