Managing Individual Performance (MIP) is the key process linking your work to your unit’s plans and the DNV strategy. MIP also gives focus to your development. The process consists of three phases, and the recommended tool to use is the Performance Management Tool.
Goal Setting
In a Goal setting meeting you and your line
manager shall discuss and agree on your
individual goals, measures and targets.
Feedback and Coaching
Coaching by your line manager to improve
your performance, should occur
continually as the opportunity or need
arises. In addition, a formal progress
review shall be scheduled at mid year.
Assessment
The purpose of the year-end assessment is to evaluate your performance and decide on improvements and development areas for next year. The final rating is documented in the Individual Assessment Form
Task
Write down and explain at least 5 keywords summarising your understanding of DNV's MIP process.
Discuss with your line manager when you should take the online MIP course (see Inside.dnv.com>>DNV Common>>Working in DNV>>Online MIP Course for Employees
