Intel Centrino

Do you have a Intel Centrino based laptop with one of these wireless cards: Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG, 2915ABG or 3945ABG we recommend that you use Intel's own utility. The latest drivers and utility can be downloaded from the following link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Detail_Desc.aspx?&DwnldID=11141&ProductID=2259

 

Follow the instructions provided from Intel.

 

 

After the software is installed you can download a preconfigured profile for the eduroam network. But first you need to install the CA certificate as described here. If you already have installed the certificate please continue, there is no need to install it once again.

 

 

The profile can be downloaded by clicking here. Save the profile on your hard drive.

 

 

Open the Intel Pro Wireless software, select Profiles and Import and import the profile you downloaded above by browsing to the directory you saved the profile and click import.

 

 

After the profile is imported activate it by selecting the eduroam profile and click connect. You will now be asked to enter your username and password. Username is on the form username@himolde.no. The domain-field shall be empty.
