This paper reports on an experiment on the memetic mechanism copy-of-script using on-line videograms as an efficient strategy in blended learning. Within the framework of an on-going course at the master’s level in Learning and ICT with participants from three countries – of which none has English as their mother tongue – participants had recourse to a large number of small and stepwise operational videos that demonstrated how they could build interactive e-learning functionalities like discussion forums, collaborative writing systems (Wikis), document managersetc. During the two first face-to-face venues of the course program they were interviewed about their learning experiences. We conclude that albeit participants had varied estimates of the usefulness of on-line videograms while they first encountered this mechanism, they eventually came to see this as essential for their learning process.
