Main bases and means of information from the college to the students is found below.

Internet

Our comphrensive webpages contains most of the information you will need, and these pages will be your main source of information.  From the college's homepage, you will easily find your way to the main page for Faculty of Technology ("Teknologiske fag" in Norwegian).  These pages will contain information about formalities, laws and regulations, routines, different services, curriculum, course descriptions, class schedules, as well as useful links and search options.

Classfronter

Classfronter is a communication system used for tutorial purposes throughout the Faculty of Technology.  An introduction to this system will be given to all new students.  Time and place will be announced. Each course will have it's own "home room" in the Classfronter system, accessible for all students registered to that particular course and the course instructor(s). In addition, the Classfonter has an Information Room (or a "bulletin board"), where messages and important information relevant to all students or groups on a day-to day basis will be posted. 

E-mail

All students will be assigned a formal college e-mail address (studentnumber@student.hit.no).  Information/messages from the administration to individual students or smaller groups of students may be sent by e-mail.  Only the college's e-mail address will be used for this purpose.

Information monitors

Information monitors are located next to the Reception in building B (by the main entrance).  These will also be used by the Cafeteria, SiTel, and the faculties for various purposes.  Locate these monitors, and check them as you pass by.
