Content:
This programme provides an insight into the structure and functions of the English language, and how this may be utilised in teaching English. There is also an emphasis on literature, and British and American society and culture. The main subject areas are:
• Practical language use
• British and American society and culture
• Literature
• Subject didactics, methodolgy, teaching practice
Teaching and learning methods:
Lectures and group work. The programme includes an obligatory study tour to either Great Britain or the United States. The programme also includes teaching practice.
