Content:
This programme serves as a continuation and specialisation of the 1-year programme courses, and provides students with a more comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the same themes. Students must have achieved a pass mark in the compulsory test in linguistics prior to enrolling on this programme.

Specialised Course: British Literature and Culture (10 ECTS)
Specialised Course: American Literature and Culture (10 ECTS)
Specialised Course I: English Language (10 ECTS)
Teaching and learning methods:
Lectures, seminars, written and oral project work and submissions. The language of instruction is English. Each course is of one semester’s duration and includes both ongoing and final assessments. Students are also offered the opportunity to study in England for two weeks at the Norwegian Study Centre in York.
Careers / further study:
Together with English Studies, 1-year Programme, this programme fulfils the requirement of the English specialisation component of a Bachelor’s degree.
