InfoSam2020 Conference 2 (Concluded)
Background
Rapid changes in information technology is a key driver for changing the way we live, due to the deep penetration of computers in all realms of society. Harmonious assimilation of change depends to a large extent on having appropriate knowledge. To predict future knowledge needs thus becomes important. To this end the project InfoSam2020 has been established at The Faculty of Information Technology, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering (IME) at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) .
The upcoming Infosam2020 activity is a two-day seminar (Nov. 25-26, 2004) for exploring foresight scenarios for three different realms, the modernised public sphere, the future university, and the communicating young people of the future. The main organiser is Teknologirådet.
The initial InfoSam2020 activity was a two-day seminar (April 19-20, 2004) for exploring relevant features of the future information society. The revised conference proceedings are available as a downloadable file. The main organiser was NTNU.
