Utility floor space – the utility floor space of a building, dwelling or occupancy unit is the area that is within the surrounding walls, including internal walls, columns, pipes, shafts etc. Free ceiling height should be a minimum of 1.9m. Rooms with a pitched ceiling are measured from 0.6m beyond the height 1.9m.
