Inflation target - Norges Bank governs the Norwegian interest-rate policy in accordance with an inflation target. Under the monetary policy provisions, the monetary policy target is that annual growth in the CPI is close to 2.5% over time. In principle, no account is taken of changes in duties, taxes and other individual temporary disturbances, so Norges Bank uses different inflation targets that are cleared of these factors when setting monetary policy in line with the inflation target. See CPI-ATE.
