The Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion (AID) has approved a change in the Immigration Regulation which implies that, the fees for the processing of applications (according to the Immigration Act) increases.
The fee for processing applications for a residence permit, work permit or settlement permit and the renewal of such permits is increased from kr. 800 to kr. 1 100 with effect from January 1, 2007. The increase in fees also applies to applications for group permit.

Foreigners who are presumed to have been victims of human trafficking and are applying for temporary work and resident permit are exempted from paying the application fee.
