Modifying personal data (contact information etc.)
Data in the directory comes from many different sources, so
changes must be referred to many different places.
When moving to a new post, please wait until after you have received
the first salary before correcting your title, place of work, telephone
or fax. This information is normally updated automatically when
salaries are paid.
If you are an employee but are missing from the directory, your
'fødselsnummer' (Norwegian personal identity number) is probably not
registered for your user. Please send your 'fødselsnummer' with e-mail
from the relevant user to
katalog-drift@usit.uio.no,
and mention that you wish to be included in the LDAP directory.
- Personal name
- Names come from three different registers: the Student System (FS)
for students, Personnel System (LT) for employees, and the user system
for others.
To change it, notify both the Student Office at the 1. floor, the
Administration Building, Blindern (if you are a student), and the
Personnel Section (OPA) at the 5. floor (if you are an employee). Bring
proof of the name change from the National Register, e.g. a tax form or
marriage certificate with the new name.
Others can ask their local system adminstrator to change their name
in the user register.
- User name and e-mail address
- If these are wrong, ask your local system administrator for help.
- Phone, fax, title, work place and postal address for employees
- You can ask
person-rettinger@admin.uio.no
to correct these. Please mention your name and birth date, so they can
find you in their database.
- Home phone and home address for students
- These are not published in the directory, but if they change, you
need to update them in the
Student
Web. You will need your 'fødselsnummer' and the PIN-code on the
semseter card you received at semester registration.
- WWW home page
- If you have a personal home page, it is shown here.
Here
you can see how to publish or hide your home page on the WWW.
