########## How to delete your profile ########## 

  	
	If there is something wrong with your windows user profile, you may find the solution below. If you experience this problem on computerlabs belonging to IDI (Rose, Fiol or IT Intro-labs), make contact with Gurutjenesten and ask them to remove *NTUSER.DAT*. We can also fix this for you if you come by us at *Orakelkontoret on the 2nd floor in Sentralbygg II, Gløshaugen*.


    
    
	You can also fix the problem yourself. Remember that this will delete your bookmarks, files on your desktop and settings in different programs. To delete your profile you have to do this:


    
    	 - Log out of *all* Windwos-computers on campus, or else the destroyed *NTUSER.DAT* will be uploaded again when logging out.
	 - Log in using SSH with Putty.
	 - Delete the file named *NTUSER.DAT* in the catalog *.profil/domain/username/os*, where *domain* is "stud" or "idi", *username* is your username and *os* is "2000", "2000TS" (terminal server, is used on the small computers called thin client.)
	 - Log in on *another* computer, not the one you logged on to the last time.
	 - Make contact with us if it still doesn't work.
