Installation

• Use a network cable to connect the computer to the NTNU network. You can do this outside the Orakel office
• Insert the CD marked “Installasjon av Student-PC”
• Turn on the machine, and press F2 repeatedly until you see a menu
• Press the side arrow key to select “Boot” from the menu. Then use the down key to select the line with CD/DVD in it from the menu. Use the F5/F6 key to move this line to the top. Press F10 to save your settings.
• After a few seconds, the message “Press any key to boot from CD” will display on the screen. Press a key.
• The installation system will start, and the rest should be self explanatory from there.
• If you want to install Windows XP you'll need the lisence code. You can get it in the following ways:
• Come by Sentralbygget, 2. etasje, Gløshaugen
• Come by Building 8, Level 4, Dragvoll
• Send us an email fro your stud.ntnu.no email account

To change the language of Windows Vista:

• Click start → Control Panel (Start → Kontrollpanel)
• Click Change display language (Endre visningsspråk)
• Select English or Norwegian in the list and click OK
• After logging out and back in, the language will be changed.
• Note: When changing the Windows language, the Office language will be changed as well.

To change the language in Office:

• Open one of the Office programs, like Word
• Click the Office-button in the top left corner
• Click Word Options (Alternativer for Word)
• Click Language Settings (Språkinnstillinger)
• Select English or Norwegian in the topmost list and click OK
