<lenker />
<hoveddel>
<avsnitt>
Pine is a text user interface e-mail client available at linuxlogin on stud.
This article will give a short description on how to show and use the Reply-to field in Pine.
</avsnitt>
<os2>What is Reply-To?</os2>
<avsnitt>
Sometimes you might want the recipient of your e-mail to reply to another address
than the one you are sending an e-mail from. This is often used when sending e-mails to
e-mail lists and such. Of course it does not guarantee that they will reply to the address
you have specified in the Reply-To field, but if they choose "Reply" when answering your
e-mail most e-mail clients will use your specified Reply-To address.
</avsnitt>
<os2>Configuration</os2>
<avsnitt>
When you start Pine for the first time you will not find a Reply-To field, so to be
able to use it you have to configure Pine. This is how:
</avsnitt>
<ol>
<li>Start Pine </li>
<li>Press <tast>S</tast> to enter Setup</li>
<li>Press <tast>C</tast> to enter Config</li>
</ol>
<avsnitt>
<uthev>Do not change anything unless you know what you are doing.</uthev>
</avsnitt>
<avsnitt>
Press <tast>CTRL+W</tast> to enter search-mode (where is). Type
<kommando>customized-hdrs</kommando> (customize headers) and press enter. If you have done
everything correctly you should be in the field customized-hdrs. Press <tast>C</tast>
to enable editing. Type <kommando>Reply-To:</kommando> and press enter.
</avsnitt>

<avsnitt>
You have now added Reply-TO to the headers and now we need to save your settings.
By pressing <tast>E</tast> you will exit Setup and be prompted as to whether or not you
want to save your changes. If you want to do so, press <tast>Y</tast>, if not, press <tast>N</tast>.
</avsnitt>
<os2>Sending e-mail</os2>
<avsnitt>
Now we want to test to see if you managed to configure Pine correctly, so choose Compose Message so you can send an e-mail. The Reply-To field will not appear, as it is one of the special headers and you need to press <tast>CTRL+R</tast> and it will appear. Then you are set and can edit the field just like you do with the other fields.
