Changing the username

Your username at NTNU is generated randomly as a combination of your first name and your last name. It is normally not possible to change your username. Under special circumstances will a change of username be granted. These are as follows;

1. The username is offensive in one way or another (foul language, religious meaning and so forth).
2. The username is creates a word that makes no sense. For instance if someone got the username janet created from James Ned Thompson.

So your username cannot be changed unless you have significant reason to do this. Usernames usually have to be changed before you start using your account.
