NTNU's calender
NTNU provides an Oracle Calender-server that employees can use with different clients. Employees can use the web-client at http://www.kalender.ntnu.no, Oracle Connector for Outlook, or the independent client. One can download the last two from the same link as the web-client.
General information
A calender program is used to make an easy-to-understand and structured overview of meetings/appointments/tasks similar to an almanac. As it is computer-based, it allows for easier searching, sharing of appointments with colleagues. For example, if you say you want to have a meeting with John, Jane and Jonathan for an hour on Monday afternoon, the program will send out a request to these persons and ask them for when it is best for them to meet, and the program will also find a time where everyone are free to go.
Summary
- Who can use it: most employees
