Semesteret nærmer seg slutten og sommeren er i anmarsj. Mange ser nok frem til de lange sommernettene i sola. TODOS ønsker å starte sommeren med en grillfest for å nyte god mat og ha det hyggelig sammen. Vi kommer til å stille med litt grillmat og brus. Alt annet du ønsker å ta med må du stå for selv.

SUMMER BBQ FOR PHD CANDIDATES

When: Thursday 4th of June, 2015

The semester is drawing to an end and the summer is approaching fast. Many are looking forward to those long summer nights in the sun. TODOS wants to kick off this summer with a summer BBQ so that we can enjoy the delicious food and have a pleasant time together.  We will provide food for the BBQ and some soft drinks. Anything else you want to bring is on you.

Postdoctoral Fellow, Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3)

Ecoinformatics, modelling of ecosystem services in marine and freshwater systems.

The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position for work to be carried out under the H2020 AQUACROSS project. AQUACROSS, in collaboration with a large consortium of European research institutions, investigates interactions between aquatic ecosystems (both marine and freshwater) and societies; an ecosystem-based management paradigm will be developed, integrating ecological function, ecosystem services and policy, with 8 case studies around Europe. The researcher will concentrate on the modelling of hydrological processes, aquatic ecosystem services and eco-social interactions, becoming a specialist team member in the ARIES (ARtificial Intelligence for Ecosystem Services) initiative, one of the most advanced global platforms for ecosystem services assessment and integrated environmental modelling in existence. The successful candidate will work with the AQUACROSS community and the large consortium of ARIES scientists led by BC3, concentrating on areas of interest for the AQUACROSS project at first. Upon satisfactory completion of the contract, opportunities for continuing on as a stable member of the ARIES team will be assessed. Endringer i UHRs veiledende retningslinjer for ph.d.-graden og avtale ved opptak

​​UHRs veiledende retningslinjer for ph.d.-graden samt avtale ved opptak til ph.d.-utdanning er endret, både norske og engelske versjoner. I de veiledende retningslinjer er det § 5 om tvungen avslutning som er endret som en følge av endringene i UH-loven. I avtale om opptak er § 12 i del A endret i samsvar med veiledende retningslinjer (tvungen avslutning).

Call for applicants – Post-doctoral position at Universita della Svizzera italiana and Yale University

Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position for a research project on the dynamics of online reviews. The postdoc position is hosted in the first year at the Universita della Svizzera italiana in Lugano, Switzerland (USI). The second year will be either at USI or at Yale University, School of Management, depending on the preferences of the applicant. The project will be supervised by Prof. Balazs Kovacs (USI and Yale University).

The research project is very interdisciplinary, so I accept candidates from multiple fields, including but not limited to management, psychology, economics, sociology, computer science, and statistics. Applicants should have some skills in statistics and the ability to think creatively about research design. No previous experience with online review data is required.
