On projects
Our research and development work at InterMedia is project-based. Most projects are interdisciplinary in character and contain a blend of design, communication and learning features and concepts.
The project oriented nature of our inquiry and productions allows us to work collaboratively and in a range of different configurations, theoretically and practically. Most often, staff are engaged in several projects, sometimes quite varied. We extend our knowledge and experience across projects.
This is a unique feature in that we collaborate with different faculties and disciplines. We apply our project skills, resources and experience across the curriculum, within different research designs, and between productions.
Projects also have a strong knowledge-making and exploratory character. We try to reflect on this and use it in new initiatives. InterMedia sees the negotiation of project work with partners as an important part of the co-design of research and productions.
Projects are presented in a range of modes and venues, whether as conference papers or video productions. We include the online mediation of our projects as an essential part of communicating with digital media and information systems.
