Semester
Autumn.
Objectives and content
The aim is to provide you as a student with the skills to work in the fields of oceanography, climatology and meteorology. The content of the Master's Programme in Meteorology and Oceanography is the physics of the atmosphere and ocean, including dynamics, thermodynamics, and radiation processes.
Within the Master's Programme in Meteorology and Oceanography, you can choose among the following specializations:
- Physical Oceanography
- Climatology
- Meteorology
- Chemical Oceanography
Admission
Semester
Autumn.
Admission Requirements
Specialization in Chemical Oceanography
Who may apply?
Your bachelor's degree must include knowledge and competence in meteorology and oceanography corresponding to at least 30 ECTS (1 semester), in addition to basic mathematics and physics. It would be preferable with some chemistry as well.
Self-financing degree students and quota students with a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology and/or Oceanography may apply for this programme. Applicants with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics or Mathematics will be assessed if they also have a Minor Degree in Dynamics, Meteorology or Oceanography. The average grade of the bachelor's degree has to be at least 2nd class, upper division/B.
