Aim and Content

Main objectives:

The course will give an introduction to fundamental statistical principles and methods with application to health-related research.

. Contents:

- Methods for reporting and summarizing data using tables and graphs, reporting numbers and descriptive statistics for continuous data.

- Basic distribution: Normal (Gaussian) distribution and the Binomial distribution.

- Terms in statistical inference: Sample and population, hypothesis, hypothesis test, test-observator, level of significance, p-value and confidence interval.

- Calculations of statistical power and samp
