All students must pay the semester fee (if they are not exempted) and complete their semester registration by registering for the semester at StudentWeb, which includes signing up for classes and exams. For more details, see the pages below.
About StudentWeb
StudentWeb is a web based service for all students at UiB and requires an 11-digit ID and a PIN-code for identification. The login is on a secure server and private information about you will only be available for UiB executive officers.
Several services are available on StudentWeb (deadlines may apply):
- Semester registration and sign up for classes and examinations
- Confirm your individual education plan*
- Semester fee payment information (if applicable)
- Change or cancel class and exam registrations**
- Update your semester address
- Check your exam results
- Order a Transcript of Records
* Only available from week 25 to 1 September (autumn semester) and from week 50 to 1 February (spring semester).
**Withdrawal deadline: Two weeks before the exam. Exam dates and locations.

All students are required to register online on StudentWeb each semester during their study period at the University of Bergen.

The Semester Fee
How do I pay the semester fee, what is it used for, and can I pay outside Norway?

Semester receipt with valid semester sticker
When you have completed your registration on StudentWeb and paid the semester fee (if applicable), you will receive your semester receipt with a valid semester card and sticker by post.
